Tomorrow is Halloween, and if you have children, you may be eying the contents of their plastic orange pumpkins by nightfall…questioning whether they’ll realize you snatched that little yellow Butterfingers bar or teeny tiny Twix.
Here’s how to justify taking (just one little piece of) candy from your baby:
Have you opened a college savings account? If you are putting money towards your child’s education, you deserve a piece of candy.
Do you have life insurance and a valid will? (that names custodians for their care). If you’ve ensured your children’s protection should something happen to you, you deserve a piece of candy.
Are you saving for retirement? If you have a 401(k) or other retirement savings account, you’re probably not going to have to ask your children for money when you’re retired, so you deserve a piece of candy.
Have you met with your Luma Wealth advisor? If you answered “no” to any of the above, your advisor can help you change your answer to “yes,” so you deserve a piece of candy.
